This is the smoothie that I love to make especially in the winter, when my painful lipoma acts up. Lipomas are non-cancerous fatty tumors that can be found subdermally throughout the body. They are usually hereditary and can become extremely  painful. This smoothie contains fruits that are known painkillers. Pineapple contains bromelain, an enzyme that has anti-inflammatory benefits. Eating at least half cup daily relieves arthritic pain. Research has shown that eating 2 cups of cherries daily can reduce pain in people with arthritis and gout. Ginger has been used for centuries as a natural pain relieving root, studies have shown that consuming 1 teaspoon of fresh ginger daily relieves muscle pain by 25 percent.

1 cup water
2 frozen bananas
1 cup pineapple chunks
1 cup cherries pitted
1 inch ginger

Place water and bananas in the blender and process until smooth. Add pineapple chunks, cherries and ginger, continue processing until smooth.
